Hey y’all!! Can’t believe I am already at round 4! Round 4 was the same as the rest but I felt like I had a bit more energy which was nice! Since the last time I wrote, I got a haircut! It was definitely hard for me to cut it this short, but I'm thankful for the hair I still have. I’ll be rocking the short bob this summer!!!

Round 4!!!
Anyways, here’s what I’ve recently learned:
Trusting God through the hardships
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
The sermon I watched last weekend was focused on this verse. This is a very common verse that most people have heard of many times, including myself. However, the sermon mentioned how this is the most disobeyed verse in the Bible. This is because of worry. People worry about things all the time and when we worry we show we are not trusting God. The sermon stated “What you worry about the most is usually where you trust God the least”
This statement really hit me because I have been filled with worry and anxiety about chemo. Chemo is no joke and is very hard on the body. Even though I have chemo every two weeks, I dread every day the next chemo I have to go to. After watching this sermon I realized that I’m trusting God the least in the area where I need to trust Him the most right now.
I’m now learning and working on giving Him my worries and fears about chemo. “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you” (1 Peter 5:7). Like this verse states, God cares for us. God wants us to give Him what we are anxious about because He can handle it. It’s hard to give Him what we are gripping onto the most, but there is so much peace in doing so and choosing to trust Him with it. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4: 6-7)
He is our comfort and our shield and will protect us from all that we fear. He is someone we can trust with everything, even the things we are scared of the most. God has always been faithful in the past, so we can trust that He will continue to be in our future. That’s something I’m continuing to learn and is helping me release my fears and grow my faith in Him.
Anyways, I have my second PET scan Friday the 24th! Prayers for that and hopefully we will see a ton of progress and a lot less cancer in my body!! So grateful for my family and friends during this time, love you all❤️
There’s always a reason to smile 😊
